Lament For She, in red
The smile far away
Had to let it go
For I had a quest, as she did
The melody of her joy still lingers in my ears
Careful steps dancing around various levels
On the highest, where clouds float below the eyes
Eyes that see all
On the deepest, where the core is just one touch away
And she was always
Just one touch away but I
Could not stretch my hands to her
As I stood a statue in the sight of her
—eyes that see none
Against my eyes that see one
Do the eyes align, like stars in the endless sky, every night for a different set of
—eyes that look out for the stars
Or is it the eyes that find their own choreography
Along with their part that accompanies
And what to do
as a statue
when the moment of alignment
Is gone for good as the smile far away?
